Log List Screen

  1. RouteHistory Manual page will open (current page)
  2. Setting screen will open
  3. Log information The log display screen will open
  4. Opens a screen showing all the logs
  5. Logging screen will open

Deleting Logs

You can delete a log by swiping left on the log you want to delete.


Logging Screen

  1. Close the logging screen
  2. Ends the logging
  3. Start logging
  4. The setting screen will open (not displayed during recording)
  5. Displays the accuracy of the acquired location information.
  6. Map type change

The main unit will not be automatically locked in the logging screen.

When you start logging, the “Start” button in (3) changes to a “Pause” button.
Tap the “Pause” button to pause logging.
While paused, the button (3) changes to a “Resume” button. Tap this button to resume logging.

Once you start logging, the distance and time will be displayed at the top of the button.

  • distance
    • Distance traveled since the recording began
  • time
    • Time elapsed between the start of the recording and the last time the position was recorded

If the GPS accuracy is higher than the value of “Recording accuracy” set in the app, a message will be displayed at the top of the screen.
If the message appears frequently, it is recommended to change the value of “Recording accuracy” to a value greater than “Reference accuracy”.

* While the message is displayed, the acquired location information is not recorded even if the recording is started.


Log Display Screen

  1. The log list screen will open
  2. Logging screen will open.
  3. Logs can be shared via SNS and GPX output
  4. Detailed log information will open
  5. Swipe up to open the log details
  6. Map type change

Tap the “+” button to open the logging screen, and the displayed log trail will be displayed in red.

When you tap the action button (3), a dialog box for selecting an action will appear. Select an action.

You can share text and images to Twitter and other sites using the “Share SNS” function.

You can use “GPX Export” or “GPX Export (for RouteHistory)” to export GPX files.
The GPX Export (for RouteHistory) outputs the title, notes and group information of the log.
Therefore, if you want to load a GPX file into another terminal’s RouteHistory or use it for backup purposes, please use the “GPX Export (for RouteHistory)”.
You can use GPX Export if you want to use it with Google Earth or other apps.

Swipe up on the log title at the bottom of the screen to open detailed information.

Log Details

  1. Log title entry field
  2. Memo entry field
  3. Group entry field

If you enter a name in the title field, the title of the log changes to the value you entered.
By leaving the title field blank, it becomes the original “log of the start time of recording”.

Groups can manage logs alphabetically from A to Z.
The default group is “A”.

GPX File Output

Tap the action button and select “GPX Export” or “GPX Export (for RouteHistory)” to display the above screen.
Selecting the output destination from the list outputs the GPX file in the specified manner.
The output GPX file is named “Log Logging start date and time.gpx”.


All Log Display Screen

Tap the “+” button to open the logging screen, and the displayed log trail will be displayed in red.

Searching Log

  1. Enter the start date of the log to search
  2. Enter the end date of the log to search
  3. Enter a group of logs to search
  4. Enter the day of the week for which you want to search
  5. The search screen will be closed
  6. Clear the condition you are entering
  7. Perform a search of the log

You can view only the log for the specified period, group and day of the week.
If you specify only the start date, only the logs recorded after the start date will be displayed.
If you specify only the end date, only the logs recorded before the end date will be displayed.
If you specify a group, only the log for the specified group will be displayed.
If you specify a day of the week, only the log recorded on the specified day of the week will be displayed.
If you don’t specify any conditions, all logs will be displayed.


Setting Screen

  1. Close the setting screen without saving the changes
  2. Save your changes and close the setting screen
  3. Open the manual page (current page)
  4. Open the purchase of Premium Add-on
  5. Reset the settings to the default
  6. Fine-tune the setting values
  7. Fine-tune the setting values

GPS Accuracy

You can set the accuracy of the GPS.

High:Best possible accuracy using additional sensor data
Normal:Highest level of accuracy available
Low:Accuracy within 10 meters

The higher the setting, the more the battery is consumed.
The recommendation is Normal, but depending on the situation, you can set it to Low and still log with the same accuracy. You can do this.

Recording Accuracy

You can set the accuracy of the acquired GPS information to be logged.

It can be set from 10m to 1000m and ∞.

If the accuracy of the position of the acquired GPS information is greater than the set value, it will not be recorded.

For example, if you set it to 100m, and the accuracy of the acquired GPS information is 150m, you can use the It is not recorded as a log.

If you set it too low, it may not record at all.
Also, if it is set too high, it will record information that is significantly far from the current position.

When set to ∞, all location information will be recorded regardless of accuracy.

Recording Distance

You can set the distance to be logged.

Logs when you move a set distance.
*The distance is only a guide, so even if you set it to 10 meters, it may be recorded at about 6 meters.

Heading Up

When turned on, the map will be oriented in the direction of travel in the Logging screen.

iCloud Sync

Logs will be saved on iCloud if you turn it on for iOS 13 or higher.
By turning it on for all devices you want to synchronize, you can view the recorded log on all devices.

The storage capacity depends on the user’s individual iCloud storage size.
The data will never be seen by a third party as it is stored on your personal iCloud.

In addition to the app’s settings, iCloud Drive must be enabled or it won’t be saved to iCloud.
This is the setting for “Settings→Apple ID→iCloud→iCloud Drive”.

Route Color

You can set the color of the log lines on the map.

You can specify the color by setting R (red), G (green), B (blue) and A (transparency) values.
RGB can be specified in the range of 0-255, with the higher the number, the stronger the color.
A can be specified on a scale of 0 to 100, with the higher the number, the darker it is.

Ol Route Color

Set the color of the old log lines to be displayed on the map when you open the logging screen from the log view.

*The color setting method is the same as the “Route Color”.

km/mi

You can change the unit of distance used in the app.

Group Name

You can change the name of the group displayed by A to Z.
In the “System” column, you can select the group to be changed.
Enter the new name in the “Personal” field to change the display name of the group.

  • Reset button
    • Initializes the name of the selected group.
  • All Reset button
    • Initialize all group names.
  • Export button
    • Export the name of the configured group to a CSV file.

Exported CSV files can be imported into the RouteHistory.
The group name will be overwritten by the imported data.

All Log Diplay Auto Loading

If you turn it off, the log will not be loaded automatically when you open all log view screen.

Auto Save Interval

Allows you to set the interval for automatic saving during recording. The default is to save every 60 seconds.


Importing GPX Files

You can import GPX files created by the app.
You can also import GPX files created in other applications if they have the same structure as the GPX files created in this application.

You cannot operate the app while it is importing.
Also, only one item can be imported at a time.

If the file cannot be read, an error message will be displayed.

How to import

Quick Action

On iOS 13 or higher or a 3D Touch-enabled device, press and hold (push) the app icon and tap “REC” to start the app and display the logging screen at the same time.


Premium Add-on

An unlimited number of Premium Add-on are available with a single purchase.
You can use it on all devices with the same Apple ID.

Selecting and displaying multiple logs

You can select a log from the list to be displayed on all log display screen.

  1. A list of logs is displayed
  1. Set the color of the log display
  2. Viewing the selected log
  3. Deselect all selected logs

The selected log is displayed on the map when you select the log that you want to display from the list of logs and tap Button “Show” (2).

You can also change the color of the log display to display it in a different color.
There are eight colors to choose from, including the usual colors.


Playback of recorded routes

The route can be played back on the log display screen.

  1. The play menu will appear.
  1. Recording time of the display position
  2. Distance from the recording start position to the display position
  3. Elapsed time from the recording start position to the display position
  4. Display position change slider
  5. Playback end button
  6. From left to right
    1. Move the display position forward by one
    2. Play/Stop
    3. Move the display position to the next one

Display a portion of the log in a specified range

In the log display screen, you can specify a range to display.

  1. The Edit Log menu opens
  1. Log information
  2. Display range slider
  3. Change the start position
  4. Function end button
  5. Share button
  6. Changing the end position

(1) Log information will be displayed for the specified range.
Also, if you specify a range and click the share button to output a GPX file, the data in the specified range will be output.
By loading the file output from here into the application again, you can save the specified range as a new log.
